Summary

Five beautifully illustrated spreads show a series of friendly farmyard animals hiding behind bright felt flaps。 A mirror on the final spread makes for a satisfying ending to the book's search-and-find inquiries。 (Where are you? There you are!) A perfect book to share with very little ones。

For: animal fans (farm themed); readers looking for a sweet lift-the-flap book。Possible red flags: flaps would be stretched/warped easily; some may find it too simple。

November 2019 - the mirror in the back is such a hit! But Eleanor was more interested in turning the pages than manipulating the flaps - maybe they'll be more appealing in another month or two。 November 2019 - the mirror in the back is such a hit! McKenzie was unimpressed with my animal noises, but her dad thought the mirror at the end was pretty cool。 Lol

This is a very basic lift-the-flap book however the flaps are made from felt so they are not as easy to tear。 This book is great for babies because the basic text, "Where's the hen? (lift flap) There she is。" is repetitive (with different animals) and easy to follow。 The illustrations are bright and colorful also。 If you are looking for a very basic book for babies this (and the rest of the Felt Flap Series from Nosy Crow Publishing) would be a great place to start。 This is a very basic lift-the-flap book however the flaps are made from felt so they are not as easy to tear。 This book is great for babies because the basic text, "Where's the hen? My baby (15 months) loves this book! She loves lifting the flaps (large and in sturdy felt material) and the mirror at the end is endlessly fascinating for her。5 stars。

The 15-month old Nephew adores this one, particularly the last page where he gets to find himself。 We've had it for a few months and the felt is holding up very nicely。 The book is a lot sturdier than I was originally worried it would be。 The 15-month old Nephew adores this one, particularly the last page where he gets to find himself。 We've had it for a few months and the felt is holding up very nicely。 The book is a lot sturdier than I was originally worried it would be。 。。。more

This cheery little board book with search and find activity on each page is a great choice for children ages 1 - 3。 The felt pieces are vibrant colors and just begging to be pulled down to reveal the hidden animals underneath。 The mirror at the end of the book will delight little people who enjoy reading predictable stories over and over to practice their newly acquired animal imitations。

Benji is super into flaps, so I thought he would enjoy this one with felt flaps, instead of the usual card stock。 But for whatever reason, he didn't really go for it。 Maybe there is something more fun about stiff flaps for little fingers。 And besides all that, it was a bit too simple。 It's only five pages, and each one is the same: "Where's the [insert farm animal]?" Behind the giant felt flap! "Here it is!" The last page asks where you are and has a mirror behind the flap, and as Benji does lov Benji is super into flaps, so I thought he would enjoy this one with felt flaps, instead of the usual card stock。 But for whatever reason, he didn't really go for it。 Maybe there is something more fun about stiff flaps for little fingers。 And besides all that, it was a bit too simple。 It's only five pages, and each one is the same: "Where's the [insert farm animal]?" I love the fact that it's a peek-a-boo game。 The fact that the flaps are felt instead of cardboard is nice。 The colors are bright and bold。 Overall, I think this is a good choice for parents to choose with little ones。 。。。more
